“We are always looking at ways to reduce operating costs and the ComEC offered this and more with the added advantage of voltage stabilisation. Global Energy Management is very efficient and they took great care not to affect our daily operations.” John Daly – Plant Manager
OVERVIEW
The Good Fish Company was established in 1988 by Denis Good in Carrigaline Co. Cork, Ireland with the sole intention of providing the local area with the best quality of “freshest fish every day”. Today, through significant investment in resources and technology, it is an innovative, modern purpose built processing plant with refrigeration and production lines servicing the entire Irish market. The Good Fish Company needed a solution to their unstable voltage supply and frequent equipment failures.
SOLUTION
After analyzing several alternate energy solutions available, Global Energy Management presented The Good Fish Company with PowerSines energy efficiency systems. PowerSines Universal Energy Controller (ComEC) provides an immediate solution to their concerns regarding rising electricity prices, increased operating expenses and unstable voltage supply.
By implementing ComEC all voltage supplied to the facility is dynamically controlled and stabilised, even during peak time. Unlike other voltage optimisation solutions, ComEC stabilises the voltage at the user-defined level and therefore enables maximising electric savings.
ComEC improves power quality, prevents equipment failures, extends equipment lifetime and dramatically reduces maintenance costs. ComEC is quick and easy to install without making any changes to the existing electrical infrastructure or wiring. Once installed, ComEC immediately generates electric savings and provides guaranteed consistent operation and savings.
RESULTS
With ComEC 3X160Ampere installed at the mains electric cabinet, The Good Fish Company saved 12% on overall electric costs, reducing their electricity bills by € 500 per month and their CO2 emissions by 27 tonnes per annum.
